1 whole year

So my beautiful little daughter turned 1 last week. So many people kept asking, "Oh hasn't the year just flown right by?" And I reply, "No". For me it hasn't. I took my time to enjoy her first year. I wasn't rushed to get things done. I didn't spend hours cleaning or talking on the phone while she took her first steps or said her first words. I didn't have some random person come watch her while I went out partying with my friends. I sat with her and we read books. I looked into her eyes as I nursed her, I tenderly kissed her head while rocking her at night. I loved her and I devoted myself to her. I enjoyed every moment of my baby girl, and I hope she did too. I loved taking her shopping, just walking along all the isles talking baby talk to her. Having everyone comment on what a beautiful girl she is. I took tons of pictures, and as soon as I can find a free afternoon, I will try to start a scrap book for her. 1 year. She is such a cute baby. She makes me smile, laugh, cry, all in 1 minute. I would do anything for her. So here is to my beautiful little princess. 1 year down, and many many more to come!
